Bubba's Big Move

Monday's plan was to move deep clean our bedrooms and move Harry's crib into the boys' room. I got an extra early start on this project since Harry woke up at 2:45 crying as if I hadn't fed him in weeks. That child has developed quite the appetite, but I've become such an insomniac over the last two years that I was more than prepared to deal with the situation. Or so I thought. Next thing I knew it was 5:45 and I woke up with a half-eaten bottle and a dead-to-the-world baby in my arms. Oh, and a stiff neck to boot. Already we were off to a great start.

At this point, I figured sleep was overrated and I headed to the basement to do my Yoga for Dummies video. Just as I finished, the baby monitor went crazy with a blood curdling scream from Harry. By the time I made it up the steps, I heard Ollie stirring and began to reconsider the plan for moving day. Of course I didn't have time to think about this dilemmas for long because within seconds I had two crying, hungry little boys on my hands.

Fast forward two hours and we were back on schedule. Grandma came over to help with the cleaning and moving. We jumped right in and even put Ollie to work.

He dusted.
And he polished.
And he assembled.

All the while getting more and more excited about sleeping in the same room as his Bubba.

By 4:00 we had both rooms put back together and ready for everybody to go to bed. The only problem is that I trashed the rest of the house in the process. After dinner I made the mistake of talking Daddy into hanging with his boys while I tore into the rest of the house. Sure I could finish a deep clean on five rooms in 3 hours...why not?

As you can imagine I didn't even begin to finish and once again proved that I may never learn to make attainable goals. Even though 90% of the house was trashed, the boys managed to calm down and get to bed by 9:15. And I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed at the beginning of a new era for the Bentley Boys.
