Bubba's Big Move
Monday's plan was to move deep clean our bedrooms and move Harry's crib into the boys' room. I got an extra early start on this project since Harry woke up at 2:45 crying as if I hadn't fed him in weeks. That child has developed quite the appetite, but I've become such an insomniac over the last two years that I was more than prepared to deal with the situation. Or so I thought. Next thing I knew it was 5:45 and I woke up with a half-eaten bottle and a dead-to-the-world baby in my arms. Oh, and a stiff neck to boot. Already we were off to a great start.
At this point, I figured sleep was overrated and I headed to the basement to do my Yoga for Dummies video. Just as I finished, the baby monitor went crazy with a blood curdling scream from Harry. By the time I made it up the steps, I heard Ollie stirring and began to reconsider the plan for moving day. Of course I didn't have time to think about this dilemmas for long because within seconds I had two crying, hungry little boys on my hands.
Fast forward two hours and we were back on schedule. Grandma came over to help with the cleaning and moving. We jumped right in and even put Ollie to work.
He dusted.
And he polished.
And he assembled.
All the while getting more and more excited about sleeping in the same room as his Bubba.
By 4:00 we had both rooms put back together and ready for everybody to go to bed. The only problem is that I trashed the rest of the house in the process. After dinner I made the mistake of talking Daddy into hanging with his boys while I tore into the rest of the house. Sure I could finish a deep clean on five rooms in 3 hours...why not?
As you can imagine I didn't even begin to finish and once again proved that I may never learn to make attainable goals. Even though 90% of the house was trashed, the boys managed to calm down and get to bed by 9:15. And I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed at the beginning of a new era for the Bentley Boys.

Buckin' Broncos
Busy day. Up at 6:00 to workout, shower, eat breakfast, and get out the door by 8:30 to a huge rummage sale of kids stuff with Grammie and Mandy. I have to admit I was nervous about shopping with two pros, but I hung in there quite well and bought a whole bag of clothes for $16.50.
We were home by 11:00 and Daddy, Poppy, and the boys were kicking back watching TV. We had to get prepped for our after nap trip to the Wool Festival, so I rushed around packing bags and picking out clothes, while the guys played with tractors and trashed the living room.
Thankfully the boys went down for an early nap quite easily which gave me the opportunity to snooze on the couch and Daddy time to play on the computer. Poor Ollie has been fighting a cold, so he zonked out before his head hit the pillow.
Soon enough we were off to Falmouth with Grammie and Poppy. As soon as we arrived, the sun disappeared and it started to spit rain. This should be great for Ollie's cold and little Harry. After a quick snack of chicken and dumplings we headed straight for the petting zoo/pony ride area.
As always, Ollie enjoyed the goats even though he wouldn't pet them.
Then we headed to the pony rides. Against Daddy's wishes, Harry went on his first pony ride and he LOVED it! That little guy even figured out to hold onto the horn and smiled the entire time. Of course I got quiet the workout, but it was totally worth it. And best of all I was able to gloat to Daddy that Harry was definitely ready for his first equine experience.
By now, the rain was picking up, so we made a b-line to the farm animal tent. As usual, Ollie was much more interested in the tractor behind the tent, than the livestock in the tent. However, Harry bonded with Marquette the cow and grabbed a handful of cow hair as I walked out of the tent.
Next we checked out a few craft tents, but realizing the rain was not slowing down, Daddy and I decided it was time to head back to Campbell County. Apparently this was a good thing because Ollie couldn't wait to get home and take off his shirt. Who knew he was such a little redneck?
Two warm baths and snacks and both guys passed out by 8:30. I guess riding the broncs is enough to wear out little guys. I'm off to bed too since there is probably a good chance somebody will wake up over night with cold symptoms.

Bath Time for Bubba
Today was blissfully uneventful. I was up and at 'em by 6:00, worked out, took a shower, and ate breakfast all before Harry woke up at 7:30. Then Harry finished breakfast and got dressed all before Ollie got up at 9:00. Everything was like clockwork. Although this was great, I suppose if everyday ran this smoothly I'd be bored out of my mind.
Next we were off to Wal-Mart to pick up some allergin-free snacks for Ollie, baby food for Harry, and various household items. Everybody was in a good mood and we found everything we needed without any difficulties. Once again this was enjoyable, but quite dull for a blog post.
We drove through Wendy's to grab a quick lunch (salad for me, hamburger for Ollie). After eating and playing outside for 30 minutes or so, both boys went down without a hitch for afternoon naps. I took this opportunity to get caught up on Harry's baby book and start dinner.
Two and a half hours later Harry woke up. Yep, the little guy that rarely takes more than a cat nap, took a cue from his big brother and settled in for a long snooze. By the time he finished his bottle, Daddy was home and even though Ollie was still sound asleep, I fired up the grill for dinner.
Aunt Julie stopped by with a John Deere fountain that her friend sent for the boys. I think that will fit in well in the basement with Daddy's JD stuff. We asked her to stay for dinner, but she said she already ate and had to go to Kohl's. Since she likes to shop even less than I do, I she must really had to get some clothes.
After a delicious dinner we all voted on UDF for an after dinner treat. The boys enjoyed ice cream while I had a cup of coffee and Harry attempted to grab a taste of anything he could get his paws on. Next, we went for a drive around our neighborhood just to see if anything new was happening.
By the time we got home it was nearly 8:00 and time for baths. I'm not sure why(maybe it was the lack of excitement throughout the day), but as Harry and I listened to Daddy giving Ollie his bath we decided that it was time for a Bentley Boy double dip.
At first, Ollie wasn't sure what to think of the intruder.
Once he verified with me that this was allowed...
All was well and splishing and splashing began.

Booty Camp Part I
Ollie and I are gearing up for 3 day potty training boot camp starting tomorrow morning. I'm either crazy or a genius or maybe a little bit of both, but my hope is that by Saturday Ollie will be diaper-free. Please send happy thoughts towards the Bentley house and I'll be sure to update daily if I can dry myself off enough to keep from getting shocked as I type.

Giddy Up
After the last few weeks of chaos, my boys and I planned to stay home all day today cleaning and relaxing. This would have worked out just fine if Daddy had closed the refrigerator door when he made his lunch last night. So instead I spent the morning clearing out spoiled food and the afternoon grocery shopping.
Ollie was in rare form today. I guess being home and relaxing all morning brought out his mischievous side. First, he "helped" me clean the refrigerator by closing the door every time I'd turn my back. Then he kept stealing the squeeze bottle jelly and running away with it. I could just imagine finding grape goo wall art. Once I got all of the food and shelves out, I turned my back for two seconds to get a towel and just that quick Ollie climbed into the fridge. Meanwhile back at the farm exersauser, Harry watched all the action. Speaking of the farm exersauser, Ollie managed to climb onto it and try to join Harry in the seat in the 30 seconds it took for me to scrub the back wall of the fridge.

Thankfully, Grandma stopped by on her way home from Sabluex and she offered to take us to lunch. We weren't about to turn down a Big Boy, especially since we didn't have many food options, so we geared up to head out. Ollie was so excited about the thought of eating, he fell down and bumped his face, which started a small nose bleed. Not even noon on a Monday, and I'm feeling like this week will never end!
All went well at lunch. Ollie sat in the booster seat like a Big Boy while enjoying his Jr. Big Boy and apples. Harry was happy for 95% of the meal and we managed to make friends with two servers. Next we were off to County Market. We rushed through the store and managed to be home by 2:30. Ollie passed out, Harry passed out, and I passed out too.
After dinner we headed to the basement to introduce Harry to Rusty the horse. Ollie took this opportunity to lead Rusty around and demonstrate the ropes of horse taming.
Now that Harry had the hang of it, Ollie took a spin on Bucky. Nothing like an evening ride side by side with your best buddy.
After putting the horses back in the barn, Grammie and Poppy stopped by with some goodies for both boys. Ollie's wild child side came out again and he even shook his head no when Grammie asked for a hug. I think we've maybe entered the "terrible twos" a little early...
Maybe tomorrow we'll be able to stay home and get that cleaning taken care of, or at least another ride on Rusty and Bucky.

Hungry Harry
My littlest guy has quite an insatiable appetite, so it was time to start feeding him a little cereal to supplement the gallons of milk he ingests every day. Here's how it went down:
If they keep up these appetites I have no idea how I'll be able to feed two teenage boys. I guess Daddy better start looking for a second job!

Introducing...Tigger!
This morning Harry was looking like he needed a friend, so I decided it was time to introduce him to Tigger. They took to each other immediately, but Ollie showed a little jealousy. I'm not sure if it was of Harry or Tigger, but either way he's struggling with Harry having a friend. I guess he'll learn that some things are his and some things are his brother's. This is just the beginning...

Giggles Galore
Big news! Harry laughed his first real laugh this evening! I kept asking him, "Is that your brother," and he'd giggle and giggle. So cute how Ollie's making him laugh already. As much as Jason tried, we didn't manage to get it on video. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

Happy Camper
Today was a big day for Ollie. He went on is first overnight camping trip/tractor show with Grandma and Grandpa. Even though he had no way of understanding what a great day he had ahead of him, Ollie started off the day with a smile. After a quick breakfast he dressed in his John Deere gear,
bragged to Harry while saying goodbye,
and headed outside to wait for Grandma and Grandpa.
And there will be lots of tractors there?
Finally they arrived. "Come on Ollie, let's go!"
What I can't ride the Gator NOW?
Okay, if you promise I can ride it later.
Next, I smothered him with kisses, warned him that he better behave, and closed the door all without even one tear from Ollie or me.
I managed to only call Ollie 4 times today and every time he seemed so happy. Of course I was extremely busy working, getting Daddy's Father's Day gift, and taking care of Harry, but still 4 times shows serious restraint.
Harry and I were too excited to wait until Sunday to give Daddy his gift, so we worked together to get it set up. Thanks to Poppy, Jill, and Jordan for helping me lift and assemble all 42" of the new TV. I know it's hard to believe, but yes my tight ass bought a TV. Once Daddy got home he was thrilled with the TV and couldn't wait to hang it on the wall.
Thankfully we had the TV project to occupy us because the house was sure quiet without Ollie running around. Of course it was also fun being able to pay exclusive attention to Harry, but he was so sleepy after spending the morning/early afternoon with Grammie that he was ready for bed by 8:30. Oh well, we're getting up early to head to Indiana to meet up with Ollie, Grandma, and Grandpa anyway. Off to bed.
