Bun in the Oven

With the reaction to yesterday's blog, I'm guessing that most of you have guessed what I was alluding to. Yes, we're expecting again! Our due date is 2/14/10 so it looks like we're going to have a cupid baby. Or if we're lucky he/she can share a birthday with Grandma or Daddy. However, Uncle Jeremy is out of luck because I'm not holding off until the 28th!

What's everybody thinking? Well, Ollie still hasn't decided how he feels about this news. I'm sure he'll love to have someone to manipulate and blame things on, but he's sure been enjoying being the center of attention. Daddy and I are super stoked, but also freaked out about having two under two. And of course the grandparents are totally excited and ready to get their paws on another baby. The only losers in this scenario are Betsy and Petunia because they will be moving down the priority list even further. Like I always tell Betsy, "Life's a bitch."

I didn't have to leave today until noon, so Ollie and I had all morning to play, read, and work on crawling. I think it's just a matter of time before he takes off.

Grandma picked Ollie up just before I had to head off to work and then my doctor's appointment. They had plans to play in the garden, watch the cows, and take many wagon rides, so Ollie had no reservations about waving goodbye to me. At least he's happy when he stays with Grandma or Grammie.

Daddy and I picked Ollie up around 5:00. Grandma, Grandpa, and Ollie wanted to hear all about my doctor's appointment. Grandpa insists it's a girl that he's nicknamed Shirley, but he'll just have to wait until February to find out for sure.

When we got home, it was time for dinner, but Ollie could barely keep his eyes open to eat. He finished his sweet potatoes and turkey before before I put him down for a short nap. As usual, Grandma wore him out. Once he woke up, we headed outside to watch Daddy clean out the shed.

Today was enjoyable and exciting and I can't wait to see Ollie as a big brother. Off to bed...after all I'm sleeping for two!
