Daddy found out this morning that he was going to be off work, so Ollie got to sleep late and stay home all day. Of course, since he could sleep in, he was up at 6:30 and ready for his prunes, so Mr. Mom took over while I got ready for work.
After kissing my boys and leaving Ollie in charge, I was off to work. I have no idea what happened while I was working, but I'm fairly certain that Ollie has now been exposed to Jerry Spring, Maury Povich and possibly The People's Court. Oh well, it was bound to happen someday.
As I drove up to our house, both Grammie and Poppy's vehicles were in our driveway. I suppose once the neighborhood got word of the boys being home alone, everyone felt compelled to stop by and check up on things. I guess I'm the only person who had the utmost confidence in Ollie, knowing that he would keep Daddy in line.
Daddy is not used to being home all day, so as soon as I walked through the door, he started making plans to head out. I had only been home 20 minutes and he was backing out the driveway. Meanwhile, Ollie must have been worn out from the testosterone levels in the house all day, and he passed out in his swing. I took the opportunity to kick back with the remote.
Eventually Daddy came home and we enjoyed the cool weather by sitting on the deck. Ollie was memorized by his pinwheel for at least 25 minutes and somehow managed to not get dizzy. I can't say the same for me.
Daddy has to work tomorrow morning and we have a graduation party in the afternoon. I guess at some point we should get some chores done too. As usual, we have a busy Saturday ahead of us.
