This morning I had to go to 4 different Kroger stores for an audit, so Grandma came by at 7:15 to pick up Ollie and take him back to the farm. I don't know what I'd do without Ollie's grandmas catering to me like they do. I am so blessed!
Luckily, my Kroger project only took me about 3 hours, so I was home by 11:00. Grandma suggested I rest and get some chores done and Ollie stay with her for a while, so of course I agreed. Daddy wasn't home yet, so I really enjoyed the quiet house. And I know Grandma enjoyed her Ollie time since she's heading back to school really soon. She's trying to squeeze in as much one-on-one time as possible.
Around 2:00, I headed to pick up my little guy. He was sound asleep when I arrived, so I hung out with Grandma and we made a plan for taking care of corn tomorrow. The plan involves Daddy and Ollie, but I'm sure they won't mind that I've scheduled their day for them.
When we got home, Daddy was there waiting for us. We made plans to go out to dinner with Grammie and Poppy. Daddy chose, so of course Chipotle was in our near future. I'm starting to think he has an addiction ("Hi, my name is Jason and I'm addicted to burritos.").
After the long nap at Grandma's, Ollie was in a great mood and ready to enjoy some rice, cheese, and guacamole nibbles. There is nothing funnier than watching a baby eat something for the first time. There was a baby at the table next to us, so Ollie figured it was as good a time as any to show off a little bit. Too funny.
After Chipotle, we headed to Target. Daddy, Poppy, and Ollie found some tools in the toy section that had moving parts and made noises. Ollie love the chain saw and jackhammer. He really is his father's son. And Larry and Jerry's grandson too.
Before we knew it, it was 7:30 and we were 30 minutes from home. Oh no! Ollie hits melt down at about 7:59 if we're not in bed time processes by that point. We scooted on out of Target and headed directly home without passing Go.
We made it just in time, but it was a close call. Ollie is sound asleep and I'm heading that way soon too.
